Google DeepMind Heckathon WinLast weekend, Max Health Inc. won the Google DeepMind Challenge at the lablab.ai AI + Robotics Hackathon in San Francisco. The project, Sleepy Mini, explores new approaches to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) monitoring through a spatially aware baby monitoring system built on Reachy Mini by Hugging Face. Our takeaway?The intersection between AI-enabled hardware and healthcare applications is evolving rapidly — and governance, interoperability and real-world deployment considerations will be key to ensuring these solutions translate beyond experimentation and hackathon environments into real-life practice. This aligns directly with Max Health’s focus: the assessment, implementation and deployment of interoperability solutions in regulated environments. The prize? Max Health received two physical robotic arms included in a Robot Starter Kit. 2. 2nd edition of HealthTech ConnectShortly after, Max Health hosted the second edition of HealthTech Connect at Frontier Tower. The session focused on recent experiences during the OpenAI event in San Francisco, including the launch of OpenClaw, and opened discussions around what open-source AI product development may mean for healthcare environments operating under strict regulatory constraints.
